Lower fees for forex, metals, commodities and index futures
In August 2026 we moved forex, metals, commodities and stock-index perpetuals onto their own lower fee tier. The current rates are always on the live fees page.
What changed
Until August 2026, every leveraged market on mSamex used the same crypto-style maker/taker rate. That made sense while the platform was crypto-only. Once forex, metals, commodities and stock indices opened to traders who compare costs with forex brokers, we moved those four groups onto their own, lower fee tier. Leverage, execution and USDT settlement did not change.
Which markets
Forex pairs, metals (gold, silver, platinum, palladium, copper, aluminium, zinc), commodities (oil, gas, softs) and stock indices. Crypto perpetuals and individual-stock perpetuals keep their own rates.
What did not change
Fees are still charged on order notional at fill time. Forex, metals, commodities, indices and stocks still carry a daily swap/rollover instead of funding (tripled on Wednesdays, the standard FX/CFD convention). That mechanism is separate from the trading fee.
Where to see the current rates
Rates can change, so this post deliberately does not repeat them. The complete, live schedule for every market group is public at msamex.com/fees. Your own trading statement (Wallet → Futures → Trading statement) breaks down every closed position into price PnL, funding/swap and fees.
Questions people ask
Which markets are in the lower-fee group?
Forex pairs, precious and base metals, commodities (oil, gas) and stock indices. Their maker/taker fees are lower than crypto perpetuals; the current rates are on msamex.com/fees.
Did crypto or individual-stock fees change?
Crypto perpetuals and individual-stock perpetuals have their own rates, listed on msamex.com/fees. The August 2026 change only applied to forex, metals, commodities and indices.
Is there still a daily swap/rollover charge?
Yes — forex, metals, commodities, indices and stocks are billed a daily swap/rollover (tripled on Wednesdays, standard FX/CFD convention) instead of the funding crypto perpetuals use. It is separate from the maker/taker fee.
